It held a kind of beauty, the fog that settled in between the mountains. Like wisps of clouds. Some nearly see through, others completely obscuring the view of what lay beyond. It held a lingering reminiscence of the year nearly ready to fade into a memory. A year filled with unprecedented uncertainly. Unwanted circumstances. The consistent twists and turns of inconsistency.
We rounded a corner, and there was another thing of interest. It was off to my left. A large star hugged the mountainside penetrating the fog and shining brightly. It shone – brilliant – and that shining light held something my heart reached out to grasp – to hold. An unspoken shimmering of Hope.
It was then i caught the beauty of the moments surrounding me. The beauty that even in the fog His Light never dims. Our hope is in the One Who holds our hand. The One who’s all seeing eye can guide us – for He sees right through the fog. Then, we can smile and rest and simply trust to walk on – for He is holding our hand. And, that – is truly beautiful.
